1. Pontiac Aztek
The vehicle of choice for underachieving high school chemistry teachers who turn to meth production to finance the medical bills, the Aztek is also the poster boy for horrendous vehicle design. To see the concept and what could have been only reinforces that something went horribly wrong inside the halls of GM’s headquarters. Everything from the awkward tailgate to the Tonka-like plastic cladding was misguided, making it so dealers couldn’t give the SUV away.
The few unlucky souls who were talked into taking the Aztek for a test drive learned that it drove even worse than it looked, which was really saying something. While some of the vehicles on this list hurt automakers, this one has been blamed for the untimely death of Pontiac.
