Saab Aero X
Saab is the ultimate story of a car company that lives and dies and lives and dies and… you get the idea. Before its first death, the Swedes showed off this dramatic concept car. The Aero X had a freaking canopy-style roof, which was wildly impractical and glorious in every way possible, making scissor and gullwing doors look weak. The design also was a big nod to the company’s aircraft heritage.
This thing was a real show-stopper in Geneva back in 2006 and is still the fantasy of many irrational Saab fans. You can’t really blame them, because driving it would even make a trip to the DMV fun.
