It’s rare that Top Gear would have a big time Hollywood star on the show, so getting the likes of Diaz was a big deal.
Many assumed that the blonde bombshell would bomb out on her lap time, but she surprised pretty much everyone by doing great, breaking the old record for celebrities who have gone around the show’s test track. In fact, there was talk of a conspiracy that her lap time was fixed. Considering that under Clarkson, Top Gear absolutely thrived on controversy, the drama made Diaz’s appearance all that much better.
