Plenty of Shelby models are loud machines that act like a sledgehammer on any track, crippling rivals with an adept level of brutality that’s pure art. Consider that the Daytona Coupe was made to do one thing: race on a track with some fast cars. That means things like city noise ordinances and crabby old people weren’t taken into consideration when developing the car, so pesky things that dampen the noise made by the engine weren’t even bothered with.
