Even though Smart is a division of Daimler, the company decided to offer an electric from its Mercedes division as well. The Mercedes B Class Electric Drive is more powerful than many, and achieves a range of 87 miles, but suffers in the efficiency area with 84 MPGe. It comes in at $41,450.

Lately there have been a lot of little Fiats scooting around our streets. Now Fiat has taken the popular 500 series and added an electric version, the Fiat 500e. It holds its own against its competitors with a range of 87 miles and 116 MPGe. The cost is just over $32,000.
