Right now, SUVs are the hottest vehicles available. Everyone wants a new SUV – and that demand is driving automakers to increase prices. More and more SUVs are being designed and released, but these new models are costing upwards of $40,000 or $50,000 each.

But buying a brand-new SUV doesn’t have to come with an extremely expensive price tag. Some of the hottest new SUVs scheduled to be released in the next two years are actually affordable. And, with many priced below $30,000, they’re good for any budget-conscious driver.

Check out these six upcoming SUV models that won’t break the bank.

1. Buick Encore GX

Expected Price: Between $23,000 and $32,000

The Buick Encore GX is a highly anticipated luxury SUV that’s expected to go on sale in 2021. While Buick’s current lineup already includes the small Encore and the large Envision SUVs, the Encore GX is expected to fall right in between these two options. It’ll be a midsize SUV that’s great for commuting around town and heading out on the open road for travel.

And the Encore GX will be loaded with all kinds of luxury and high-tech details. It’s already been revealed that this midsize SUV will feature the latest in driver assistance features, like pedestrian detection, automatic braking, and video cameras.

2. Chevrolet Trailblazer

Expected Price: Between $21,300 and $23,000

If you’ve been missing the popular Chevrolet Trailblazer since it went out of production in 2009, you can get excited. In 2021, an all-new Chevy Trailblazer is hitting dealerships. The latest iteration of the Trailblazer will revive a popular Chevrolet vehicle and give SUV fans an affordable mid-size option. The new Trailblazer will fall right between the Trax and Equinox, two small Chevy SUVs.

And the newly revamped Trailblazer is expected to come with an impressive redesign. Early photos reveal this SUV will have a two-toned paint job, a roomy interior, and a truck platform.

3. Ford Bronco

Expected Price: Around $28,000

The Ford Bronco has a place in both the history books and in fans’ hearts – and after decades without this famous SUV, the Bronco is finally coming back. Ford is revamping and redesigned one of its most popular SUVs and relaunching it in 2020.

The new Ford Bronco is going to be even better than past beloved editions. It’s expected that the Bronco will be off-road oriented, which will make it stand out in the crowded SUV market. It’ll also share a structure and design cues with the Ford Ranger, giving the Bronco a more rugged appearance that’s perfect for drivers who love tough SUVs.

4. Honda HR-V

Expected Price: Around $20,000 to $22,000

While the Honda HR-V is already available at your local Honda dealership, you’ll want to wait until the 2020 models arrive. Although it’s already one of the most popular, best-selling subcompact SUVs available, the coming 2020 HR-V is expected to be even better.

The 2020 model of this hot SUV will feature a spacious interior, class-leading safety and driver assistance features, and an updated exterior. And you can expect the Honda HR-V to continue offering its current, reliable drivetrain and interior. New technological features and perks will be added, making the next iteration of the HR-V even more advanced.

5. Hyundai Venue

Expected Price: $20,000 or below

Hyundai has been stepping up its SUV game in recent years, but you’ll want to pay close attention to the next generation from this automaker. The 2020 Hyundai Venue is highly anticipated and expected to be a popular budget-friendly choice for drivers. Smaller than the recent Hyundai Kona and with an expected price tag under $20,000, the Venue will be a great buy.

And the Venue won’t skimp on features and upgrades. Hyundai promises something called “snow mode” for front-wheel drive, heated front seats, blind spot alerts, forward collision alerts, and automatic braking will be included. That doesn’t even include other great perks like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that will also be available.

6. Mazda CX-30

Expected Price: Around $25,000

Mazda’s SUV lineup has been one of the most popular in the crowded SUV market. And although this automaker already offers three different SUVs in three unique sizes, Mazda is adding a brand-new compact SUV: the CX-30. The 2020 CX-30 will fall between the CX-3 subcompact and CX-5 midsize SUVs. And it’ll also feature a nice midrange price tag.

The Mazda CX-30 will look like a crossover between the Mazda 3 compact sedan and hatchback and one of the bigger Mazda SUVs. Drivers will be able to choose between two different engines and multiple trim levels. But one of the most exciting aspects of this new SUV will be the upscale luxury touches Mazda is including –  it’ll be like getting a luxury vehicle for less.
